Maybe Brad Penny Should've Gone to College

Sometimes you hear stories that just kind of confirm why ballplayers are playing ball and not breaking down Shakespeare's iambic pentameter. And for you pessimists out there who simply think ballplayers are meatheads, then this will certainly confirm your stereotype. From Tony Jackson's Inside MLB Dodgers blog

A well-known Los Angeles radio personality was interviewing Brad Penny after Penny left yesterday's game with the New York Mets. The final question was this: "I know you spent some time this winter traveling around Europe. What was your favorite place?" Penny's answer: "Cabo."

In case you were wondering, Penny signed to play pro ball straight out of high school, so maybe they never got to geography while he was in school. But I guess the moral of the story is...when you can throw 95+ MPH, and you're reportedly hooking up with Eliza Dushku and Alyssa Milano, nothing else matters.
