Boomer made his spring training debut for the Padres Friday, getting rocked for three runs on four hits over 1 2/3 innings. Wells is now 43 (43!!) and first broke into the bigs twenty years ago. How the heck is that old tub of lard able to keep trucking?
"I'm just maybe one of those freaks of nature that I can pull it off. I'm a freak and I don't need a circus. I am the circus."
Gosh I love that guy. Thank goodness for the inspiring safari he went on otherwise we might not be able to enjoy another year of his crazy comments. Good to know that Wells has a message for the people who have been critical about him and his gut
"There isn't a whole lot of muscle under this fat. And it's not a whole lot of fat, I just wear a baggy jersey. But people say what they want, so what. You know what, can't take away what's been accomplished. I encourage anybody to come out and do my job at my size and see if they can pull it off."
Alright fat boy I hear you calling my name -- give me a glove and let's do this. Last time I checked my splitter was still nails -- or at least good enough to handle the Pirates crap lineup.

That fat overweight, overrated so called pitcher needs to go home and let an up coming star into Major League Baseball...
i throw harder than that fat a**
And what MLB team do you play for Josh? The Padres obviously know a little more about baseball than you do. If Mr. Wells can still throw heat at his age more power to him. I don't care how old they are (or heavy), as long as they win ball games who cares?
