So Barry Bonds hit 755 on Saturday night in San Diego, bombing it ironically enough, off former steroid user Clay Hensley. Hensley was immediately demoted to Triple-A Portland the following day, but it wasn't before receiving a souvenir from Bonds. Hensley seems like quite the fan:After Hensley and Bonds departed the game, the pitcher called the Giants clubhouse and asked Bonds if Bonds could send him a bat as a souvenir. Bonds responded almost immediately and inscribed a message on the bat that concluded "God Bless."Memo to everyone who says Bonds is a jerk: surrender a home run to him, and he'll be happy to oblige in any way possible. On a related note, I'm not so sure I would be proud of yielding a milestone home run in baseball history. Hensley seems to be embracing the experience. Am I the only one who thinks there's something wrong with that?

Hurrah for Barry! He is a supper star no matter what you say. I am old enough to remember Hank A's feat beating the Babe's record. You so called sports fan types cried foul then too. Said he played more game and the season is longer, the ball was different, and the bats better. Your right nothing stays the same Tiger can't be compared to Jack N and Jack can't be compared to Bobby J everything has changed but you can compare these superstars to the rest of the current field and guess what Barry and Tiger look like todays best to me.
I had the pleasue of meeting him last year in Phoenix at a local car show. He was not arrogant at all, we had a good conversation about cars. Of course I didn't attack him. Give Barry his due for breaking the record he deserves it as much as any superstar or today or yesterday.

when barry bonds played for pittsburgh he was a stick boy.steroids turned him in to a much much larger man.its a disgrace to hank aaron and babe ruth to let this steroid freak have the record.he has been in the steroid limelight for years.sf giants are to blame for giving him a contract so he can break the record.he is as guity for using steroids as michael vick for dogfighting.numerous witnesses implicated bonds for using steroids and he denies using them.michael vick denies being involved in dogfighting and the evedence is overwhelming.same as going to san fran and gaining 75 lbs of muscle.it is a discrace to baseball and to the fans who watch it.

Personally, I am not a Barry fan as he rarely makes fans feel welcome. Give the man his just do!! I do not care if he took uppers, downers, steroids, or was drunk when he was at bat. The man has talent and there is no way he could hit that many home runs without superior talent. His eye hand coordination must be something unbelievable.
