We haven't touched on this yet, but thanks to Home Run Derby -- who claim to have broken the story -- here's a nice big picture of the goat some Cubs fan/fans hung from the Harry Caray statue outside Wrigley Field last week.
Can't read that sweet cardboard sign? Here's what it says:
Hear Ye Hear Ye Hear YeAs we all know, this worked out just perfect for the Cubs. Or not.
As of October 3, 2007: Let it be known to the spirit of Sam Sianis and all powers that be ...
I, Leon "Bill" Bartman, have sacrificed my goat life and thereby have reversed the curse and have blessed the Cubs with "The Holy Cow" and in the name of Harry, Santo, Woo, Mr. Cub, "The Girls," Sweet Lou, Hendry, WGN, Mr. Wrigley, Tribune Co, and The Billy Goats of the World, and the Best Fans in Baseball
I SAY
GO CUBS GO .... Go Cubs Go
Hey Chicago What Do You Say ...
THE CUBS ARE GONNA WIN TODAY!

Cub fans should add the curse of Bartman, any city who blames the collossal collapse on a fan and not the poor play of a team who gave away the final three games of that series deserves another one hundred years of futility

Nice TBS description of the Steve Bartman incident, including placing his name in very large letters over the television screen.
I hope the witness protection program can protect this poor guy. He's just a fan!

If Cubs fans were smart, they wouldn't be Cubs fans.
