Remember Barry Bonds' home run chase this season? I know, you may not want to remember it, but drudge up those old nightmares for just a second here. Bear with me. Remember when Barry seemed so nice all the time, so unflappable, so totally unwilling to allow a reporter to goad him into anything resembling a negative quote? Oh what halcyon days they were:
Barry Bonds thinks he has been unfairly targeted for whatever problems baseball has had with the use of performance-enhancing drugs. This follows, of course, Barry's pronouncement that he won't visit the Hall of Fame if the Hall accepts Marc Ecko's asterisked ball. Besides Barry's sudden loquaciousness, which is interesting on its own, he has to at least understand why he was singled out. It's because there are widely reported suspicions of his steroid use coupled with his pursuit of the most hallowed record in sports. Even if he doesn't agree with it, he has to understand it, right?
"I truly believe I have been singled out. Definitely," he said during an interview aired Friday by MSNBC.
Bonds would have preferred to remain with the Giants."I was disappointed in the way it was handled," Bonds said. "And what I mean by that is that San Francisco are not my fans. San Francisco is my family and I felt that ... they took away our time to enjoy. ... I think we deserved more than that."
Also: That photo just made my head explode.

Barry needs to stop already. We know he was on roids.....and without them, he would have been great....now he's just going to be remembered for his drug use, not his athletic talent. He brought it all on himself.....wonder who shows up at his induction?

Barry has the smallest head of the three. So I guess we better test the other two.

I don't know what all the hoopla is about. Either you are going to believe his past drug test results or not. If the test results are not enough, what will it take for him to clear his name if the results are correct. This is a clear case of the media making news rather than reporting the news.
The home run record IS his until someone can PROVE he used performance enhancing drugs, not just surmise that he has without evidence. Prove him guilty then punish him.

If steroids affect visual acuity as well as hand eye coordination and reflexes
How come all of the other steroid users don't have the same kind of stats..oh and how come all the steroid using pitchers aren't able to put him away..Barry Bonds was able to be a top home run hitter long before he was accused of using steroids..I guess only a few steroid users out of all the users get the faster reflexes and hand eye coordination,,get over it..bob d

barry sorry to hear your disappointed with the san fran fans. good thing you didn't break the record at wrigley field. you really would have been disappointed when the fans would have thrown [the ball] back on the field. your snubbing of the hall is proving what a great role model you are for the game.

mr. bonds is a disgrace.
as a physician of forty years, i have never seen a person's head size and foot size change once they have reached adulthood, unless they have a rare condition called acromegally.
he cheated, and he didnt have to.
he was great without the drugs, but his ego would not let him do that. he was a pleasure to watch , now he is just a spectacle. his not going to the hall of fame is the best news a baseball fan could receive.
