MLB Poetry Previews: Tampa Bay Rays

As part of our season preview, FanHouse asked bloggers from around the internet to write a poem previewing their team's upcoming season in a series entitled
MLB Poetry Previews. It's like high school English class, except about baseball!

For today's poem, we remain
in house and remind y'all: The Rays are working hard to build up their young core!

Let's get this out on the table right away
The Rays may not be in contention, but they'll still fun to watch play

Kazmir, Shields, and Garza:
Three young pitchers with lots of hutzpa

It's a young team, which is great for the future years
The only old folks are Percival, Floyd and Reyes and they'll be able to mentor their peers

The unfortunate story of the Rocco Baldelli is a huge bust
He was a bright point on the team but he'll be on the sideline collecting rust

I'd love to see them give the Sox and Yanks a run for their money
But it won't be this year, honey

Oh, and by the way:
I wouldn't rule out a Bonds signing if in July he lowers his expected pay!
