As part of our season preview, FanHouse asked bloggers from around the internet to write a poem previewing their team's upcoming season in a series entitled MLB Poetry Previews. It's like high school English class, except about baseball!
For today's poem, we remain in house and ponder the rebuilding phase in which the Orioles live.
"It's time to rebuild!" management said
"And trade Tejada and Bedard for prospects instead
"Let's shore up our farm
"and tone some young arms
"Forget about this year, just look ahead"

Once, we were winners, - a franchise storied with pride. But, since Angelos bought us, - it's been a long, downhill slide. Uninspired baseball, by the Chesapeake Bay. Mail-it, in now, boys; Why bother waiting, for Opening Day?
