Of all the opening day happenings, Kosuke Fukudome's debut for the Cubs perhaps shined the brightest of all. Just watch the above video. Cubs trailing by three, bottom of the ninth, Fukudome already 2-2 on the day with a walk, and bam, home run -- Cubs tie it up. And Brent Musburger says something about the teeth of Lake Michigan. I'm still not sure what that was all about.
The Cubs lost in extra innings, but hey, welcome to the North Side Kosuke.
I wanna collect that 10 mil the Brewers are giving Gag-ne....put it in a pile on the pitchers mound, douse it with gasoline and set it on fire. What a freaking waste, I cringed in the off season when they signed him. Way to make a good impression with the Brew Crew Gagne!!Please do us fans a favor and retire.
Wow! JKlicious88 seems to know very little about baseball. And also adding a lot of pressure losing on opening day. The world champion 1998 Yankees started out 2-3. They set the record for most wins with 114 for world champs. Goose Gossage of the 1978 world champion Yankees started out the season 0-3. Hall of famer Catfish Hunter was 0-3 early in his first season for the Yankees in 1975. A really good team wins 100 games per year in a 162 game season. That means that they lose 62 games per year.
And your point is?You just rambled on and on about nothing Mr. Garcia. Those stats you threw out there although interesting, have no bearing on my previous post. I know enough about baseball to know the Brewers made a bad decision signing Gagne for 10 mil. It's a gamble they're sure to lose. I hate to say that because I'm a true Brewer fan, but that's how I feel. Gagne showed it again yesterday, proving he's lost it as a closer. Thankfully he was tendered a 1 year deal only and thanks to Tony Gwynn Jr. for bailing him out in that game.
