Nothing says "work day excitement" quite like "live chat with Bud Selig". And for the eighth straight year, baseball is going to roll Bud's old bones up in front of a computer and force him to start typing answers to the fans who are a pleasant enough combination of polite and curious to sneak by the censors (sensors?).
Selig will spend about half an hour answering questions at MLB.com's booth during the DHL All-Star FanFest at the Jacob Javits Convention Center on 34th Street and 11th Avenue in Manhattan, beginning at 1:30 p.m. ET. The chat will be carried live on MLB.TV and the Baseball Channel.It's fun to dream that something crazy will happen, like a fan sneaking an A-Rod/Madonna question and watching Selig try and protect the Yankees slugger. Or maybe asking how he got caught picking his nose in the middle of a session of Congress.

What will happen though, is that some "fans" will lob out some grapefruits about instant reply, the close division races, the history of Yankee Stadium. Bud will then fall asleep and drool on the keyboard and we'll all go back to work.
