Well, I'm sure you've heard the adage be careful what you wish for, because we do have an update for you. There was only one more step this story could have taken that could trump all the insanity that's already happened, and now it's here. Yep, that's right, apparently there's a sex tape.
A sleazy cameraman is trying to flog a tape he alleges shows the singer romping with US baseball hunk Alex Rodriguez.
He is demanding a fortune for the footage he claims was shot with a hidden camera in an apartment allegedly used by the pair for secret afternoon trysts.
Last night Madonna's lawyers said they were "aware" of the lensman's claims but were not commenting.
In a series of emails fired off to media outlets, he alleged the footage was shot two months ago in an apartment owned by a pal of Madonna she knows through her devotion to the Kabbalah religion.And if it's in the British tabloids, it has to be true.
The video man – who is also a friend of the apartment owner – claimed he found out and secretly installed a hidden camera in the living room with the lens pointed at the sofa.
He alleged the footage he recorded showed the pop superstar romping with New York Yankees ace A-Rod.
I highly doubt that any such tape really exists, and if it does, this cameraman is going to be in a lot of trouble. I'm no legal expert (my legal experience consists of having jury duty once), but I think breaking into an apartment and installing a hidden camera to record what goes on there is probably illegal. Then trying to sell that illegally acquired footage probably isn't on the up and up either.

We don't know all the facts here. The story says, "an apartment" where they met. If neither of them owned the apartment and it wasn't a rented hotel room then they have no expectation of privacy. I can put cameras in my own home and anyone who comes to my home can be filmed--that is not a crime.

If you like the Madonna-and-A-Rod tape, I have some videos of a ranch hand boogering a cow you might like to see. But A-Rod isn't the only athlete to be in that old dugout. Imagine checking out Madonna's old "glove" and seeing Babe Ruth's signature on it. Talk about a spitball.
