Jim Edmonds, you sly devil. We know you at least consider your past, all those fond memories of being a St. Louis Cardinal, of winning a World Series, of hitting 30+ home runs every year. They were your glory days, man! That's as good as life gets! You're not fooling anyone.Deny them all you want, Jim. But we remember. Any thoughts about playing your ex-teammates? "No, I don't," he replied.
Anyway, whatever the reason, Edmonds has proved himself still a valuable player this year, one the Cardinals could surely use in center. If the fued with La Russa is motivating him, so be it. Just keep hitting, Jim.

Really? The Cards could use Edmonds in center? Looks to me like their outfield has done pretty well without Jimbo -- and none of their outfielders needed to be traded and released to have their bats awoken.

Cardinal fans are awfully insecure, considering their team has the second most world series championships in history... As far as Tony LaRussa is concerned, he may be one of the best managers ever, but damn, what a miserable human being. Imagining everything said about him as a slight and the "me against the world" attitude is a little old.
