This is for everything. The Phillies are just one win away from clinching their first World Series title since 1980. How long has it been? Ryan Howard, last night's hero, and Cole Hamels, tonight's starter, weren't even born the last time the Phillies hoisted the Commissioner's Trophy.
But while the Phillies may already be planning their parade, don't count out the Rays just yet. It'll be an uphill battle against Hamels, who's been nearly untouchable thus far in the postseason, but at some point the middle of Tampa Bay's order has to come through ... right? I wouldn't bet on it, but we'll find out for sure tonight. Join me at 8 PM as we live blog what may be the last baseball game until April.

I agree!!!!!!! I tuned it out half way through. It is so stupid to watch "performers" mutilate our national anthem for their own purpose---just sing it the way it wa written. It can be beautiful!!

I have been a huge baseball fan for over 25 years and I have never seen such bad umpiring in all my life. Jamie Moyer could pitch 4 inches outside the plate for a strike and Sonnanstine had to be right down the middle. And how about the tag out at third by Longoria? Every single call, every single ball and strike is going to Philly. MLB is now just like the NBA and professional wrestling. Rigged. I will never watch another baseball game ever again.

The Phillies should be world champs,leave it to MLB to let the rays score a run in the same bad weather then call the game off. Not even a fan of Philly but they should be the champs already,MLB is getting to be like Nascar.

Shame on MLB for making them play in the rain in very cold weather. Shame on the umpires for blowing so many calls. It is simply to late in the year to be playing baseball in the north.
Once again, it is all about money.

So now what? Does MLB rules allow them to call the game and make a WS game official after 5 full innings or is that rule lifted in post-season play?
Regardless, they should replay the whole game. Why not with a 2-2 tie?
