And per Mayor Michael Nutter on MyFox Philly, the legions of Illadelphians that have been dying for a championship parade will finally get theirs this Friday "about noon."
It is to begin at noon Friday at 20th and Market Streets and travel south down Broad Street ending at the sports complex. For those of you who stink at reading between the lines, "encouraged to take public transportation" means "we will arrest you for a DUI, jackass." Nutter also pointed out that he wanted "No negative nonsense out there," meaning that he understood the high likelihood of Philadelphians getting too excited and getting out of control.
Those attending are encouraged to take public transportation.
Fortunately, there won't be too many children hanging around when all this happens though, because the city has decided not to cancel school. Which, safety issues aside, is just patently ridiculous. Sure, the city might catch on fire tomorrow afternoon, but a major sports championship parade is a once in a lifetime thing in a city like Philly.

No matter how good Philadelphia does we will never get the credit we deserve. Everyone believes we are a horrible, horrible city with loser fans. Every city has riots at parades and many of them were 100x worse than ours. We need to start getting the credit we deserve. I would love for once to hear, "The Phillies and their fans really earned this."
We are encourged to take public transportation so that more people can get in and out of the city not because "we will arrest you for a DUI, Jackass." Come on now show some class you do not have to bash us when we are trying to celebrate.
No Philadelphia team will ever hear, "You guys did a great job, and you really deserve it," and that's very sad to say.

THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, THE FANS, AND THE PLAYERS DESERVE HAPPINESS AND RESPECT FOR ALL WE'VE ACCOMPLISHED. ANYTHING NEGATIVE IS JUST A JUVENILE WAY OF VENTING YOUR JEALOUSY. SHOW ME A CITY WITH 100,000+ PEOPLE CELEBRATING WITH NOT ONE BAD SEED. INSTEAD OF POINTING OUT THE MINUSCULE AMOUNT OF NEGATIVE BEHAVIOR, SHOW PICTURES OF PEOPLE OF EVERY AGE, RACE AND RELIGION COMING TOGETHER THROUGH SHEER HAPPINESS AND PRIDE!

People will do what they want, but I was very impressed with the behavior I saw in South Philly last night. Sure, there were a lot of drunk people, but no one was violent. It was a fantastic night. GO PHILS! WORLD SERIES 2008!

You classless loser. If you wrote better you might be able to move out your mommy and daddy's house someday. Ah...who am I kidding, some little babies never want to stop suckling on mommies tit.
Funny, but your previous article indicated that the city would burn the night the Phillies won, that didn't happen now did it.
Get a life you jackass! Do you even get paid to write this garbage?

You actually get paid to write this bad? Amazing!
Your writing and a few boneheads aside, it was great to watch the Phillies win the Series, and AT HOME! Way to go guys!

You are an idiot, and your writing is classless drivel. I was at Broad and Chestnut last night. The scene was mostly jovial with a few jack@sses, As is the case in ALL celebrations. How soon we forget Boston almost burned down Kenmore square, they set cop cars on fire, threw bricks at police and a young student was killed (yes KILLED) in what was accurately called a "riot". In light of that debacle, Phillies fans were pretty subdued.

Well done Philadelphia. You deserve this after waiting 25 years for a major championship. Load up on gear http://www.phillieschampionshipgear.com because you never know when it will happen again. As a Seattle fan the only I have to look back on is the 79 NBA championship and the NBA ripped that team from me.

Essay Short: "Why You Are a Moron"
>>"The Philadelphia Phillies -- and the city of Philadelphia -- caught a lot of heat because there was a discussion of World Series parade plans ... before the Phillies actually won the World Series."
-->(Evidence that you are an idiot. Exhibit #1: The City simply began to prepare for what was looking to be a likely event – the win for the Phils – rather than having to be reactionary. Hmmmm ... what's better? To be prepared, or ...? Further, if you knew something about how the world works on a large scale, all pro-teams are REQUIRED to forward their play-off schedules to their City so that the proper authorities can make plans accordingly. You are a true piece-of-work.)
>>"But now, of course, they've capped off a pretty amazing season with a World Series win, so it's time to riot burn Philly to the ground celebrate in a calm and dignified manner."
-->(Evidence that you are an idiot. Exhibit #2: Firstly, it would be “riot AND burn.” But forgetting your poor grammar and writing, the very fact that your thoughts went to this type of behavior and to joke about it – rioting and burning – is indeed a hint as to the type of mindset that you have. I.e. - or to "dumb-it-down-for-you" – You are most likely closer related in your genes to “trouble-makers” than all who commented here, as well as the VAST majority of those who celebrated peacefully – and had WANTED only a peaceful celebration. Don’t blame yourself for this though kid, your parents simply should not have reproduced! Ouch? Yes, it should "ouch" as certain truths can be painful. Perhaps this is true of your "clan" going generations - to have ceased reproducing. And know that you can always see a professional to dicuss your issues; I'll toss in for the first session.)
>>"And per Mayor Michael Nutter on MyFox Philly, the legions of Illadelphians that have been dying for a championship parade will finally get theirs this Friday "about noon."
It is to begin at noon Friday at 20th and Market Streets and travel south down Broad Street ending at the sports complex.

For those of you who stink at reading between the lines, "encouraged to take public transportation" means "we will arrest you for a DUI, jackass.""
-->(Evidence that you are an idiot. Exhibit #3: You missed the point and apparently “stink” at reading between the lines. It may have been interrupted by … well … a “jackass” who is unable to read between the lines that this was his “meaning” … but do you know that the City is expecting 1,000,000 to 2,000,000 tomorrow?
Philadelphia is also one of the most convenient cities for Public Transport, with a subway running the ENTIRE length of Broad Street, and with frequent stops. Did you ever hear of “grid-lock?” “Ridiculous traffic?” Agreed, DUI will be a concern for the police, but the Mayor was looking out for the welfare of his City here with regards to traffic/safety concerns – the streets simply can’t handle that type of volume, and the more people that take P.Transport, the better for all the people he has finely served. )
>>"Nutter also pointed out that he wanted "No negative nonsense out there," meaning that he understood the high likelihood of Philadelphians getting too excited and getting out of control."
(Evidence that you are an idiot. Exhibit #4: Last count, 76 people had been arrested from a group of perhaps 100,000 to 160,000. There was some disgusting behavior, no doubt, but as others have commented, how about all of those who had legal fun - the 100,000++++? And I’ll even give you this: there probably should have been more arrests and there will most likely be more. (Some from even last night as tapes are reviewed, and more tomorrow. This is unfortunate, but not at all unique to a huge city like Philadelphia – and even so, the criminals last night were, to borrow your fine word again “jackasses” and they were out taking advantage to be such.)
>>"Fortunately, there won't be too many children hanging around when all this happens though, because the city has decided not to cancel school. Which, safety issues aside, is just patently ridiculous. Sure, the city might catch on fire tomorrow afternoon, but a major sports championship parade is a once in a lifetime thing in a city like Philly."
-->(Evidence that you are an idiot. Exhibit #5: This was a tough call as a decent argument could be made for the city to have cancelled school. My apologies here because I am actually more inclined to agree with you, BUT EVEN A JACKASS CAN MAKE ONE OKAY POINT! Nice job, moron.)
I do not have time to edit, or review so I am excusing myself of any typos or other erros now so that you have nothing to counter with.

Where are you from? I have read better articles in our school newspaper and they are written by 3rd and 4th graders. If MLB can't find better writters and are willing to pay, I will send my pet "donkey" over. She probably could write a better piece and acknowledges that she is a "donkey!!"
