Manny Being Choosey: Boston Makes an Offer

You know what? You miss Boston. You complained a lot while you were there, but it's really a pretty nice place to play baseball. You won two World Series and a World Series MVP there. Your friend David Ortiz still plays there. The ownership and the media may have stabbed you in the back last summer, but you just don't want to play anywhere else. Plus, the left field urinal inside the Green Monster is world class. No one can match that.

When Scott opens negotiations with Boston, things seem a little strange. They're more than happy to offer you a huge sum of money, claiming "Bygones will be bygones" and "Canadians just aren't meant to man the Monster."

You're happy that they're so happy to have you back, but it makes you nervous that their stance has changed so quickly. Something just feels ... wrong.

Still, the offer is good. It's four years and $110 million. And it's Boston. You know they'll contend and you know you're playing on the biggest stage in baseball. Even if things seem weird, it IS what you want. And you have Scott's blessing to sign with them again. What are you going to do?
