Brandon Inge Gets Unique Arm Tattoos

Brandon Inge tattoosBrandon Inge looked quite different Monday night as the Tigers opened a three-game series with the Angels. The All-Star third baseman had the underside of both his forearms tattooed with the names of his young sons.

According to the MLive.com report, Inge decided to get inked while the Tigers stayed in San Francisco over the weekend to play the Oakland A's.

He now has a "Chase" tat on his left arm and "Tyler" on his right arm.
"This guy does tattoos for a lot of major league players and drew them up for me the last time we were in town," Inge said. "He said to sit on it and think about it, and I just loved it the more I looked at it. It's a real unique cursive style.

"My wife loves it, and it's for my two boys. I'm very happy about it. The stereotype about tattoos drives me nuts, but don't judge me by this. These are very special to me."
Inge has had a tough go of it recently on the field. He's hitting just .165 with three homers and nine RBI since the All-Star break and his patellar tendinitis has been acting up. But, hey, at least the Tigers remain on top of the AL Central and the tattoos look cool.
