CHICAGO (AP) -- Boston Red Sox closer Jonathan Papelbon has been fined again for slowing down games.Papelbon was fined $5,000 by Major League Baseball for taking too long to throw his first pitch. A new rule allows pitchers 2 minutes, 20 seconds from the final out of the previous inning to the first pitch. They get 12 seconds to throw once the batter steps into the box.
The fine was first reported by the Boston Herald. Papelbon was fined previously this season.
"After this, I don't know, man," Papelbon told the paper. "I think they're going to call my parole officer and put me away."
Papelbon has 34 saves in 37 opportunities this season, with a 1.84 ERA.

Good I'm glad I'm a Redsox fan but I think papelbon is to arrigant for himself he should learn to shut his mouth and get to doing what he's over paid to do. I also think the Redsox should get rid of their scounts and get new one. Scounting reports don't seem right when it's said he can't inside pitch and the inside pitch leaves the yard. Magaden sucks too. i would trasde him for a dead hitting coach. Ortis should be benched. Maybe if he gets over his damn pride and hit to the oppsite filed his average should be over .300.

it doesent matter.. the redsox are fadeing away slow..i read the posts all day after the redsox lost. im shocked i didnt see any negative redsox fan comments. i guess you guys only talk smack when you win.,, maybe you guys going to blame the curse again..lololol

redsox nation is tense this week... finnaly redsox fans are noticeing what all baseball fans already knew... you guys where to arrogant to admit it... the redsoxs are slowly fadeing... i notice one thing in the last 2 days.. the redsox fans havent been badmouthing other teams.. when you losing you guys get a little quiet... when you winning you are in attack mode.. i guess its not the redsox fault they loseing.. it has to be the curse....lololol
