In other words, when the world's most famous White Sox fan hazards a sports prediction maybe we should all take notice.
While Obama has yet to make an official World Series prediction, he did hint strongly at who he likes this October on Meet the Press.
The President hailed Cardinals slugger Albert Pujols as "unbelievable" and Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter as "a classic" after he broke Lou Gehrig's franchise record for hits on the Sunday morning interview and public affairs show.
OK, so with that you can lightly pencil in St. Louis and New York as the presidential picks, and, hey, you could do a lot worse.
Entering play Sunday, the Cardinals and Yankees are a combined 82-37 since the All-Star break, good for a blistering .689 winning percentage. There aren't two hotter teams in baseball since the start of the second half.
In the interest of being fair and balanced, maybe someone should ask Obama's predecessor what his picks would be. After all, he does know a thing or two about the national pastime.

St. Louis proved the other year that they cant pull ratings because it was the lowest rated world series ever in the history of televised games, With the Yankees going it has a shot at getting people to watch it however the best matchup of all as far as TV is concerned would be New York Yankees vs. LA Dodgers
Well - that's what is most important - tv ratings; that's what all of sports is based on; how many nincompoops on the east a left coast turn on their tv set instead of going out to swipe some hubcaps, steal a car, knock over a liquor store, in order to perpetuate the spiraling cost for the midwest family to attend a ball-game more than once a season.
