Mike Blowers played 11 seasons in the majors, but he never had a day like this. Sunday, Blowers -- who now does color broadcasting for the Seattle Mariners -- made one of the most unbelievable predictions we'll ever see. The sheer accuracy of how he laid the situation out is simply mind-boggling. It involves the first career home run of rookie infielder Matt Tuiasosopo. Please check out the video, as it is well worth the watch.
Note that Blowers correctly predicted six separate things: the batter, the at-bat, the pitch, the count, the home run and where it would land.
The Mariners lost the game 5-4, but that's hardly of any consequence here. Neither team is going to the playoffs. What we're looking at is simply a gem of a moment in broadcasting. Blowers himself was so beside himself once his prediction came to fruition that he could do nothing more than laugh hysterically.
I can't speak for everyone, but I'm personally going to be getting in contact with Blowers soon -- concerning a little matter called Powerball. You know, just in case he feels the power again.

ESP is alive and well. Many people don't believe it, but it's there. I probably shouldn't say anything, but as a young man I had an ungodly (so to speak) ability to "solve" television murder mysteries. Just as one small example, and there were many more, one time the opening scene showed a policeman knocking on a door. The opening scene, nothing proceeded it. I remember saying "the policeman is going to be the killer." Since I'm telling this little tale, you know that the policeman turned out to be the killer. Sadly, I have lost this little bit of ESP, but the "sixth sense" is very real.

I absolutely believe you are correct. Whatever people may call it...intuition, ESP or the "sixth sense", it is real. Was driving on a one lane road some time back when suddenly I had a bad "vibe" about the driver behind me. I looked in the rear-view mirror and he seemed OK....but as soon as it became 2 lanes, I pulled into the right lane and let him pass me. Well, I found out why I had that "feeling"....he proceeded to clobber to curb 3 times, hopped it once and then at the next light we stopped side by side. I looked over at him and his head was drooping over the wheel...he was clearly quite drunk.
Another incident...I lost my precious brother in 2003, and about 3 yrs. later I started getting these "vibes" that he couldn't wait for Mom anymore. Passed them off at first, but they kept coming for well over a year. Then I lost my (our) Mom in September of 2008. After she passed, the "vibes" stopped coming...and whenever I think about them, all I get is just a GREAT SENSE OF PEACE. What makes it even more peculiar is my Mom, during the time I was getting these "feelings", started talking about her "spirits" (as she referred to them)....claims her "spirits" were lighting the doorway up sometimes at night in the room where she slept. Sounds strange I know, but in my opinion, people would do well to trust their instincts or "sixth sense". People can be skeptical or boo-hoo it all they want, but I agree with you. It is REAL.
You said "I probably shouldn't say anything"....just wanted you to know that there are others who agree with you...completely.

Some people ARE clairvoyant. When it was announced that Jason Bay was joining the Red Sox I picked 44 as his jersey number. Sure enough! Don't ask me to explain it.

I don't believe it. I've noticed over the past few years this has been happening alot, especially in football. I BELIEVE the broadcasters are taking advantage of the 'tape delay'
Each game is delayed probably a minute or two which gives broadcasters a chance to jump in live bypassing the delay.

His prediction was over an hour before the home run. Plus, did you not hear the call and the genuine reaction of both announcers?
I don't understand why people have to be so skeptical of EVERYTHING these days.
Just enjoy the moment.

Mike Blowers is cool. Giving a free order of "Rally Fries" to a deserving fan was his idea. A fan in a field level seat stood up for a nice play in the field, and dropped his fries over the railing and onto the warning track in front of him. He unashamedly began picking them up, put them back in the cardboard dish, sat down, and continued eating them. Mike was on the air at the time, and said that it would be nice for one of the concessions to give the guy a replacement order. Well, one did. From that game on, every game, Mike would point out a fan who he thought should get a complimentary order of fries. When his suggestion came during a game the M's were losing at the time, he said maybe the fries would help bring about a rally. The "Order Of Rally Fries" was born. So I'm not surprised that Mike would make that accurate a prediction. It's just another "cool jewel" in what is shaping up as a stellar broadcasting career. Keep it up, Mike!! By the way, good going this year, M's. Nice improvement despite lots of hardships, lots of hurts, lots of questions...but you did yourselves proud, and I'm proud to be a Seattle resident and a Mariners fan. *GO, M's*!! And Lou, we miss you *so* much!!

He said it would go into the second deck...olisten clearly and the announcer says "it just missed" the second deck. It went into the lower deck. Granted, great call, but it wasn;t perfect as described.

Actually he said "maybe in the second deck" so the fact that the ball almost made it to the second deck is pretty impressive.
