Frank McCourt, the owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, has dismissed wife Jamie from her post as the team's CEO ahead of what is expected to be a bitter divorce battle between the separated couple, according to a report by SI.com's Jon Heyman.McCourt, who has been married to Jamie since 1979, purchased the Dodgers in 2004 for $430 million, but the team is believed to be worth considerably more than that.
The firing of Jamie further complicates the fate of the franchise as the couple heads for divorce court, with Frank claiming that he has full ownership of the team and his spouse contending that she owns 50 percent of it.

They have been married since 1979. He bought the Dodgers team in 2004. California is a 50/50 state! Unless she signed something giving up her half of the team at that time or anytime since the purchase, she owns half of the team!
BINGO
Yup, you're 100% right, it is also a no-fault state. She could have been screwing the whole team and she is still entitled to her half. Good advertisement for a good pre nup.

Well I would say she must not own half the team otherwise because if she did he could not have fired her. That is only common sense.
At least she's not a quitter like Manny.
What a mess this is going to be
Amen!
manny is not a quiter. they just took away his wonder drugs. made him play on even turns with all legit players.
Wow, you're a real ass. guess somebody has never had a date!
That poor bastard is screwed
she deserver 215 million years in prison
hahah classic
how many of you are singing "it's cheaper to keep her" ......?
Truest words ever sang! I would leave her ass right where the hell I found her, ALONE!
SHUT THE HELL UP! THAT WAS A STUPID THING TO SAY
He fired her, she still owns 50% of the team. He'll buy her out, she'll get a younger BF, campaign with the Governator to lure a NFL team to LA & name the team the Cougars!
That's a great comment. The best that's been posted.
That broad deserves a bean ball! She is already wealthy and probably been stretched and tucked enough to make a new baseball scream for a rub down! Go Dodgers don't give her anything more than a slider!
She only gets 1/2 of the assets earned during the period of the marriage. She doesn't get to touch whatever he brought into the marriage, and if she was CEO, what some of you feel is her dream job which none of you know for sure that she wasn't capable of getting on her own credentials, then not only will she get 1/2 of the assets earned, or the increase of it's worth, by marriage, it is apparent that she worked to earn it.
For the jerk that hates women enough to think that a women only earns what she gets through a marriage by maintaining her ability to hold her legs in the air, it is more than obvious that she is not only capable of holding a job that your lack of intelligence and education prevents you from holding, she does it with more class in her little finger than your entire body possesses. Oh, and something tells me that the expanse of your gut from doing nothing than plopping your huge a** down watching sports than you will never be able to play on TV, with a beer(s) in hand, would also prove that she is probably a better athlete than you as well.....
I at least give McCourt credit for entrusting her with a position in the administration that she has obviously done well with since there has been such an increase in the teams worth. Oh, by the way, for the intelligence challenged gentlemen in this group, a CEO is a Cheif Executive Officer, meaning it isn't a cush job and she has to work in the position. Although I also agree with him that under the circumstances, a bitter divorce, it is not in the best interest of all for them to working together. It is too hard for both parties to keep their private matters out of the business.
