Kansas City Royals catcher Jason Kendall is currently in the process of divorcing his wife, Chantel Kendall, and as is often the case in these matters, things are getting ugly. That's particularly so when the divorcing couple is fighting over the custody of their children, as the two sides will pull no punches to prove how horrible of a parent the other one is.
The latest salvo fired by Chantel Kendall, aside from the allegations of emotional and physical abuse, could impact more than Kendall's ability to raise his children, but could also have an impact on the game of baseball itself. Chantel says Jason Kendall is abusing the prescription drug Adderall.
Adderall is a drug that is commonly prescribed to those who are diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder, and it is an amphetamine. The purpose of the drug is to help a patient increase their alertness, concentration, libido and overall cognitive skills.
All of which could come in handy on the baseball field, save for the libido.
Since "greenies" are no longer allowed in baseball, it's no surprise that baseball players may be turning to Adderall to get the boost that the "greenies" used to provide. In fact, it was reported in Newsweek in 2008 that the number of players who had granted exemptions from baseball's ban on amphetamines so they could use Adderall rose from 28 to 103 in a single year.If this trend continues it's not too crazy to assume that Adderall may be the next target in baseball's ongoing war against performance-enhancing drugs. Which, would be somewhat ridiculous if you think about it. It's all right to give the drug to your kids, but let's not let baseball players use it. They might play better.

The headline at SI.com says "takes Adderall" while the headline on the actual story says "abuses Adderall." There's a pretty huge difference between the two.
30 mg XR BID? QID??
It does not help libido... in fact it makes getting an erection impossible
Ben I would have to disagree with you on that one. I have been on it for about 6 months and have no issues and probably would say it makes for a faster recovery. So I would agree it increases your libido. It does however greatly improve your concentration, alertness and allows your body to function at a normal level on little to no sleep.
Adderral is a form of speed. These baseball players taking adderral don't all have the adult form of ADD/ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), if the adult form of ADD/ADHD even exists. These baseball players are using "performance enhancing drugs" under the guise of prescription medication plain and simple.
Yeah and I'm sure this gold digger didn't have any problems cashing his checks and living the high life !!!
