CLEVELAND -- A man wearing a LeBron James Miami Heat jersey was escorted from the Progressive Field bleachers during the sixth inning of the Yankees' 8-0 win over the Indians Wednesday night. The fan evidently was heckling fans while wearing the jersey, and when he did it in the bleachers the Cleveland fans responded.
As police arrived a chant of "Kick him out" rose from the bleachers, with several Cleveland fans spewing verbal venom toward the fan wearing the Heat jersey. When police arrived to escort the fan out of the stands, the crowd cheered.
Videos posted online from fans in the bleachers on Sports By Brooks showed the fan arriving and being heckled. He responded, evidently in strong terms as before long the seats around the couple were empty.
Police escorted the couple to the exits, and as they did the girl -- who was wearing a Grady Sizemore jersey -- appeared to shove some of the fans yelling at her. The man seemed unbothered; he continued to turn and show his Heat jersey to the crowd as he left. Fans in the area said they were told the fan was escorted out of the bleachers because he was provoking other fans and being disruptive. Police wanted to avoid a bigger problem.

LMAO
Yep it's funny. But when someone yells fire in a movie theatre that's called inducing panic and you can be thrown in jail for that.
I think that shirts with profanity should not be allowed in baseball parks and there should be a list of words, just as George Carlin used in his comedy bit all those years ago, that should be on the thrown out of the park list. And in the case of LeBron James, right now his name on a Heat jersey is a profanity in Cleveland. I am sure that if this guy wore his Cavs James jersey nothing would have happened or been said. He poured gasoline on an open fire and he is damned lucky that it was a baseball game and not a Browns game.I take my 6 and 7 year old boys to games once a year so they can experience the MLB thing just like my dad did with me. This is exactly one of the things that I want to try to NOT expose my children to. You pay good money to attend and some jerk wants to stir up a ruckus. So they wear something inappropriate like last year when the guy in front of us wore a shirt that said F You. So I spent the night with my then 5 year old trying to sound out the word and the 6 year old saying why does he have a bad word on his shirt.By the end of the 5th inning when I couldn't take it anymore we got our stuff together and left. Although I accidentally spilled a glass of pop on the dude and the rest of my sons popcorn. When he jumped up glaring at me I said "oops sorry" and listened as the rest of the mothers and fathers around me applauded. A guy behind me told him to sit down or he would knock him down. It does not take much to make a crowd rally together against someone who is perceived as being a jerk.
What a Jerk! Use common sense, its one thing to do this when your with your guy friends, but Not when your with your girlfriend! Its a Stupid and Dangerous stunt! He did it expecting to get a negative and probably violent reaction. He clearly didn't think about her safety; everyone knows that fans can get pretty aggressive when your wearing the other teams jersey to their stadium, but to wear Lebron's Heat jersey Anywhere in Cleveland is like walking through South Central with a KKK robe. Your just begging for trouble!
This moron was doing it on purpose to get some negative reactions. The girlfriend is a moron too for even being with this clown and putting herself in danger. Hey honey why don't you dump this loser for a real man?!
why should the wearing of a shirt mean that you life is in danger. The Cleveland fans are almost as famous as Philadelphia fans for being classless. So the guy wore a Lebron Jersey boo friggin hoo. They threw stuff at him before he said anything to the juviniles in the crowd according to the Cleveland Radio announcers. Grow Up People be a fan not an idiot!!!
It wasn't bright for the fan to waer LeBron James Heat jersey anywhere in cleveland I wouldn't do that if I ever visit Cleveland I wouldn't wear the James Heat Jersey which I don't have for record will get one soon. That would be wearing Yankees gear in Boston or Michigan gear at Ohio ST. that is death LOL. I think Cleveland fans need to get over LeBron leaving and they were classless for throwing stuff at the person who wore the James Jersey I'm not surprise that he got excorted out. I also hope that they excorted those classless fans that threw stuff at the guy as well both were in the wrong.
you should learn to speak, or type, correct grammar so that people will not want to gouge their eyes out when they read your comments
I think that guy wearing LeBron James Jersey wasn't bright to do that I think it wasn't right of the cleveland fans to throw stuff at him just because he wore a James jersey. That shows Cleveland fans being classles and they need to get over that LeBron left to join the Heat.
